Biggest Misconception of Having a Business Website

One of the biggest mis-conception that most of us have about websites is:

“Once I put up my business website on Internet, it can generate sales or business enquiry for my company”.

It is such a HUGE mis-conception that most of the business owners and it has been proven that as much as 97% of them are having this mis-conception. Like for example, when you have the website up on the internet, there can still be NO sales enquiries or NO sales.

Why does this happen? You might think.

I thought by just putting up a website, it will generate business enquiries and sales for

me?
Simple reason: There are millions of websites being put up online EVERYDAY!

Since there are already thousands if not millions of websites that are similar to yours, what makes you think that your website will be found by people?

So the final question is, “How can I makes sales or create business enquiries from the website?”

The answer is none other than MARKETING.

You will need to do a marketing campaign to promote your website.

Only with marketing, then will you be able to attract visitors to your website and your website can generate business enquiries and sales for your company.

All marketing campaigns fall into either one of these 2 categories:

  1. Online Marketing
  2. Offline Marketing

Of course, with the new media of Internet, online marketing is actually gaining popularity as the more affordable marketing medium that can tap into the limitless potential of the untapped market previously untouched by the conventional offline marketing methods.
